Ice Cream & American Songs

Birch Creek invites Door County music-lovers to celebrate Independence Day on its idyllic countryside campus with a pie and ice cream social followed by the American Songs & Places concert.

The pie and ice cream social begins at 5:30 pm, with pies and ice cream to be served from local Door County markets and bakeries. The American Songs & Places concert begins at 6:30 pm, featuring Birch Creek students and faculty performing an assortment of familiar American heritage pieces by Copland, Sousa and more, as well as an original piece by Birch Creek faculty member, John Mindeman, titled “Birch Creek Fanfare.”

Accomplished in Musical Theater, Opera, Oratorio and Concert repertoire, Zeng has performed throughout the United States with companies such as Cincinnati Opera, Central City Opera, Tulsa Opera, Opera Memphis, and Utah Festival Opera.
