Ice Cream Social at The Clearing

The public is welcome to join The Clearing Folk School’s friends and neighbors at an old-fashioned ice cream social on July 18. Sample six flavors of ice cream and all the fixings including homemade hot fudge from The Clearing kitchen.

This free two-hour event begins at 7 pm at the Jens Jensen Visitor Center. Visitors can enjoy the patio and the candlelit path leading to the Buchholz Council Ring bonfire. Guests will also have the opportunity to browse The Clearing Bookstore and Gift Shop.

Additionally, The Clearing Folk School announces watercolor instructor Stacey Small Rupp has added a one-day class to their summer workshop schedule for July 26. Join Rupp as she demonstrates and teaches her unique style of watercolor painting.

Also, Dr. Roger Kuhns’ one-day Niagara Escarpment class originally scheduled for August 17 has now been re-scheduled for September 22 from 9 am to 4 pm. Kuhns will teach participants about the geologic history of the Niagara Escarpment through outdoor, field exploration.

Both classes will be held at The Clearing’s Jens Jensen Visitor Center located at 12171 Garrett Bay Road, Ellison Bay. Class size is limited and pre-registration is required.
