IDEA GALLERY WELCOMES SCULPTOR TO GALLERY

Idea Gallery is featuring the work of sculptor Charles Kraus, whose sculptural career spans more than 50 years. As a professor of sculpture at UW-Milwaukee, he taught graduate students for several decades while continuing to develop his own distinctive style.

Kraus’ work has a captivating beauty through its graceful, flowing forms, which he typically creates by casting in bronze or iron, sometimes incorporating brass and aluminum elements. Idea Gallery exhibits his outdoor sculptures, smaller freestanding sculptures and a series of circular wall reliefs that incorporate brass and aluminum.

Idea Gallery’s Exhibit 1 is on view daily, 11 am – 5 pm, through June 30, at 6551 Cty T in West Jacksonport. Exhibit 2 will begin July 2, with an opening reception July 9, 4-7 pm.
