Inaugural Children’s Book Faire Oct. 9-10

Door County Kids & Baby Boutique will host its inaugural book fair Oct. 9-10, 10 am – 5 pm. The goal is to encourage every child to read – at home, at school and on vacation. Children and parents can meet six local children’s authors during the fair, and names will be drawn every hour to receive books. 

Authors who will sign books Oct. 9 are Erin Peterson, 10 am – 12 pm; Sue Jarosh, 12:45-3 pm; and Charles Evenson, 3-5 pm. On Oct. 10, Kim Siebers will sign books 10 am – 12 pm, followed by Ann Heyse, 12-2 pm; and Sue Jarosh, 2-4 pm. Copies of Beverly Gillen’s The Gift of Green Time will also be available.

Thousands of children’s titles will be offered: infant Tuffy books, sturdy puppet books, lift-a-flap books, novelty board books, touch-and-feel books, search-and-find books, interactive/activity books and classic hardcover storybooks for children of all ages.

A percentage of sales from this event at Door County Kids & Baby Boutique, in Egg Harbor’s Main Street Shops at 7828 Hwy 42, will go to the five Door County school districts to support their library programs.
