Inaugural Kite Festival is Set for Aug. 8

Family Services of Northeast Wisconsin will host its inaugural Kite Festival on Aug. 8 at Martin Park & Center Pointe Marina in Sturgeon Bay. This family fun event will open at 9 am with registration, children’s games and activities, face painting, and crafts. The event will also feature kite shows with stunts and tricks from the Wisconsin Kiters Club, a kids’ experience zone, and more.

A family registration of $10 includes all activities and one kite kit per family. Bottled water and snacks will also be included with admission. Additional kite kits can be purchased for $2.50 each. Families are encouraged to register in advance at familyservicesnew.org. Walk-up registrations will also be taken on the day of the event.

All proceeds from the Kite Festival support Family Services programs that protect, heal and care for children and families in the Door County area, including Healthy Families, Parent Education and the Door County Sexual Assault Center.
