Inaugural Snowmobile Poker Run for DCHS Set for Feb. 8

On Feb. 8 snowmobilers and their clubs around northeast Wisconsin are invited to run in Door County during the Snowmobile Poker Run. Money raised from this inaugural event benefits the operating fund of the Door County Humane Society (DCHS). Participants begin and end at Happy Hour in Valmy with five stops in between to collect playing cards. Prizes will be awarded at the conclusion of the day’s run for best and worst hands. Pre-registration is open now at a cost of $20 that includes one hand of playing cards plus lunch for the rider. Registration on the day of the event is $25.

Participants must be at least 18 years of age. Those who pre-register are entitled to purchase a second hand for $10. To pre-register, call 920.746.0958, visit dooranimals.com, or stop in at the shelter, 3475 County Road PD, Sturgeon Bay, by Jan. 27.
