Influx of Basketballs

The Door County YMCA has received 72 new basketballs, thanks to a donation from NBA Cares, DICK’s Sporting Goods and Spalding. The basketballs will be distributed among the many YMCA and summer camp locations, and also be used as prizes for youth throughout the summer.

“The Door County YMCA is thrilled to have been selected to receive this generous donation from NBA Cares and its partners,” said Eric Natwick, youth development director at the Door County YMCA. “Our youth sports programs are very important, as they give youth in our community the opportunity to gather and work on their individual skills and teamwork. Most importantly, it strengthens their base for healthy living.”

The Door County YMCA is one of more than 200 Ys nationwide to receive a donation of basketballs. This program is an extension of the NBA Cares Season of Giving. The NBA will continue to work with DICK’S Sporting Goods locations nationwide and Spalding to donate basketballs to additional community partners such as the YMCA.
