Information Session on UW-Green Bay Art Program at PenArt

Is the teen artist in your family interested in pursuing a degree in fine art, art education or graphic design? Join Sarah Detweiler, UW-Green Bay associate professor and former chair of UW-Green Bay’s Art and Design Program, for a free session to learn about the application process Sept. 14, 10-11:30 am, at Peninsula School of Art, 3900 Cty F in Fish Creek. No advance registration is required; students and parents are welcome.

Detweiler will explain the various types of art schools and programs, the differences among them, and why students might find one to be a better fit than another. She’ll also discuss what to look for and ask when visiting a prospective school, how to prepare a portfolio and why schools do or don’t require a portfolio. A Q&A session will complete the session.
