Informational Kewaunee Digester Meeting Feb. 20

Kewaunee County invites the public to attend an informational meeting for locally elected officials with state agencies regarding the proposed Integrated Anaerobic Digester System Program on Monday, Feb. 20, at the Kewaunee County Fairgrounds in Luxemburg. Representatives from the Public Service Commission (PSC), Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) will be present to answer questions from officials of Kewaunee County, as well as Brown, Calumet, Door and Manitowoc counties and the public. Those scheduled to speak at the meeting are Jeffrey Ripp (PSC), Clint Fandrich (PSC), Russ Rasmussen (DNR) and Sara Walling (DATCP). Discussion will include the RFP process, water quality and nutrient management. The meeting will take place from 1-3 pm and will begin with a presentation, immediately followed by questions from locally elected officials. Public questions will be addressed and answered on an informal basis after the meeting.
