Inn at Kristofer’s Hosts “Autumn Harvest”

The public is welcome to join Chef Terri Milligan on October 21 for an evening of memorable food and wine at The Inn at Kristofer’s “Autumn Harvest” gourmet wine dinner and cooking class.

“Our Autumn Harvest event focuses on seasonal ingredients, many from local purveyors,” said Chef Milligan.

The menu for the evening will feature a first course of three types of artisan cheese served with flatbread crackers. The salad course will include artisan lettuce drizzled with pumpkin seed vinaigrette highlighted with maple roasted butternut squash, Door County apples and spiced pepitas. A Door County apple cider sorbet cleanser will precede the main course of stuffed quail with homemade cornbread and dried Door County cherry stuffing. The quail will be finished with an apple brandy sauce and served on smashed sweet potatoes flavored with Chinese five spice powder. Dessert will be a pear gingerbread upside down cake with cinnamon ice cream.

Co-owner Chris Milligan has selected two special wines to accompany the meal.

The evening will begin with a one-hour cooking demonstration where Chef Milligan will show participants the recipes for the items being served that evening.

The price of the event is $59 per person and includes the demonstration class, five-course dinner, two glasses of wine, a complimentary glass of champagne upon arrival and tax. Seating is limited to 24. For more information or reservations call 920.854.9419.

The Inn at Kristofer’s, located on Highway 42 in Sister Bay, is open nightly for dinner beginning at 5 pm. For additional information on the restaurant’s menu and special events, visit http://www.innatkristofers.com.
