Interdenominational Church Donates to Red Cross

Door County People of Faith, a new interdenominational church that began meeting Jan. 18 upstairs at Glas Coffee House, has sent all contributions from its first two Sunday worship services to the American Red Cross of NE Wisconsin, totaling $178. Current collections seek to support Big Brothers/Sisters of NE Wisconsin, followed by the Boys and Girls Club of Door County. Believing that we are called to care as much for others as we do for ourselves, collections at Door County People of Faith are distributed to one of 24 nonprofit Door County and Sturgeon Bay community lifelines. With no building to support or staff to sustain, the new church can allocate almost all of the contributions it receives to local social welfare organizations.
