Intergenerational Fable-Building Workshop Feb. 27

Write On, Door County will offer Fox, Sparrow, Child, Bear: An Intergenerational Fable-Building Workshop with writer and educator Jill Stukenberg on Feb. 27, 1-2:30 pm. The free program will be presented virtually via Zoom

This family workshop uses collaboration as a story-building tool. Participants are encouraged to sign up with at least one partner, a team of up to four, or multiple intergenerational family groups of up to four to connect and create together, no matter where they live.

Stukenberg will share some famous fables and discuss why people tell such stories. Then groups will brainstorm and collaborate to create a fable together, then share their fable verbally or with pictures if they wish. Participants will leave the workshop with a new family legend or an idea for a comic.

Stukenberg, originally from Sturgeon Bay, is an associate professor of English at UW-Stevens Point and runs an academic summer camp called the Wizarding Academy.Registration is required for this free program. Learn more and register at writeondoorcounty.org.
