International Mother Language Day Reading in Ephraim on Feb. 22

Write On, Door County will host its annual International Mother Language Day reading Feb. 22, 1 pm, at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Door County in north Ephraim.

Readers will share poems – of their own creation or written by famous poets from their home country – written in their native language. The reading commemorates the day the United Nations declared to “promote the preservation and protection of all languages used by the people of the world.” The reading is free and open to the public.
