Introducing the Little Eddie Big Cup

Peninsula State Park Golf Course will host the inaugural Little Eddie Big Cup Memorial Golf Scramble on Oct. 5. Fundraising from this year’s event will benefit the Ed Strege Family Memorial Fund. The event will include an 18-hole big cup golf scramble with cart, raffles and door prizes. Lunch will be served after at Husby’s Food & Spirits in Sister Bay.

The format will be a four-person scramble, limited to the first 36 foursomes. Cost is $100 per player or $50 for Peninsula Golf Course pass holders. Strege died on March 17, 2014, at the age of 32. He was a loving father, husband, son, brother and loyal friend. Strege grew up in Egg Harbor and was a graduate of Gibraltar High School’s class of 2000. He worked at Peninsula State Park Golf Course, Husby’s Food & Spirits and the Sister Bay Bowl, to name a few. Strege has been described as “the light in the room” and big cup organizers are planning the event in that spirit – a day to celebrate, remember and support those Strege loved most.
