Isadoora Holds Auditions for 2016 Production

Auditions for Isadoora Theatre Company’s production of Three Days of Rain will take place April 23, 1 pm at Gibraltar Town Hall, and April 25, 6:30 pm in the basement of the Sturgeon Bay Library. The company is planning the production for June 23 – July 2.

Three Days of Rain is directed by Richard Carroll Carlson, a recent newcomer to Door County who comes with an impressive resumé that includes acting and directing in Washington D.C., Dallas and Albuquerque. He was trained at the Dallas Theater Center and American University; and holds an M.F.A. in Theatre from the University of Iowa.

Set in New York, Three Days of Rain centers on a brother, his sister, and their childhood friend who meet to settle their parents’ estate. In this tense and brittle reunion, much more is at stake than who gets the parents’ house. Brother and sister discover their father’s diary and use it to create a story for themselves that will explain away the present and make sense of their parents’ passionless marriage.

Three Days of Rain has roles for two men and one woman – late 20s to early 40s. There will be cold readings from the script. Actors may perform a two-minute monologue, but it’s not necessary. The actress should be able to speak with a Southern accent. Isadoora is also looking for tech support. For more information find Isadoora Theatre Company on Facebook or call Renée J. Kujawski at 920.743.9799.
