Isadoora Theatre Performs “Eclipse of the Soul”

Isadoora Theatre Company will present the world premiere of Scott Kopischke’s Eclipse of the Soul at Third Avenue Playhouse, October 14 – 16. Friday and Saturday performances begin at 7:30 pm, and the Sunday matinee is at 2 pm.

Directed by Henry Timm, Eclipse of the Soul finds an odd assortment of characters filling out the cast of Othello as a local theater company prepares for its annual Shakespeare festival. Drama ensues both onstage and off – the stage manager falls for the leading lady, actors are missing for rehearsals, and two disinterested teenagers find ways to cause trouble. When rehearsals are further interrupted by the appearance of a mysterious spirit, members of the group must figure out why she needs their help.

Members of the cast include Josh Augustson, Ginger Auld, Kevin Gossen, Mary Hall, David Magle, Margaret Magle, Hans Ribbens, David Smrz, and Chris Weidenbacher.

Playwright Scott Kopischke hails from the Milwaukee area, and has won many awards with his writing, including Honorable Mention in the Writer’s Digest Annual Writing Competition. His works have been produced in Wisconsin, Arizona, and Florida.

Tickets for Eclipse of the Soul are $14 for adults and $10 for students. Tickets are on sale at the theater box office, 239 N. Third Avenue, Sturgeon Bay, 920.743.1760, Monday through Friday from 10 am – 3 pm and also one hour prior to the performance. Tickets are also available at Dancing Bear, 13 N.
