It’s Triathlon Weekend

The 11th Door County Triathlon takes place July 18 & 19 with more than 2,000 athletes participating. The sprint race, featuring a quarter-mile swim, 18-mile bike ride, and 3.1-mile run takes place Saturday, July 18. The Half Iron takes place Sunday, July19, and features a 1.2-mile swim, 56-mile bike ride, and a 13.1-mile run. A Kids Triathlon will also be held on July 18, with shorter distances. Start time both days is 8 am, with the Kids Triathlon start times between 2 – 6 pm, varying by age.

Frank Murphy Park is located at 7119 Bay Shore Drive, just 15 miles north of Sturgeon Bay and three miles south of Egg Harbor. The park has an ornate pavilion, a sandy beach, and a permanent pier that is perfect for spectators.
