JABA Board Holds Fall Meeting

The Jacksonport Area Business Association (JABA) held its fall board meeting Nov. 1 at Mr. G’s Supper Club.

The board passed the 2022 budget and had a very favorable review of activities and businesses this past season. JABA donated $6,000 to the Town of Jacksonport for sidewalks, $1,000 to the fire department and $1,000 to Sevastopol School for its Music, Art and Theater Guild.

Sue Jarosh reported on the 14th season of the farmers market, which was deemed to be the best thus far. It averaged 25 vendors weekly, up from 16 in 2020, and the 2022 market is slated to host 32 vendors. Contact Jarosh on Facebook at “Jacksonport Farmers Market” to get 2022 market information.

New officers were also elected during the meeting: Robert Geitner, president; John Brasch, vice president; and Danielle Brasch, secretary/treasurer. Outgoing secretary/treasurer Joe Jarosh will assist Brasch in taking on her new role.

JABA sponsors an Easter egg hunt, the farmers market and parade-float first-prize winners for both the Maifest and Thanksgiving parades. A spring 2022 meeting/event for JABA members will be announced.
