Jack O’ Lantern Days Features Weekend of Halloween Activities

A hometown Halloween celebration is in store for Fish Creek’s annual Jack O’ Lantern Days, Oct. 24-27. The fun-filled weekend highlights mask making for kids, pumpkin carvings, a Halloween parade, trick-or-treating, and costume parties for both kids and adults.

Friday and Saturday, Hands on Art Studio will host their third annual free pumpkin carving event, Great Pumpkin Lighting, for kids and adults. On Saturday night this pumpkin-carving extravaganza will culminate with the “lighting” ceremony of all the pumpkins.

Other Saturday events include: From 9 am – 12 pm, mask making at Peninsula School or Art, 9 am – 12 pm; Gibraltar Fire Station’s open house, 10 am – 2 pm; Halloween parade (starting at Old Town Hall), 1 pm; Kid’s Halloween Party at Old Town Hall and town-wide trick-or-treating, 1:30 – 5 pm; dog costume party at Gibraltar Grill, 3 – 5 pm; Bayside Tavern’s infamous costume party and contest; and Door County Trolley Ghost Tours on Friday and Saturday nights.
