Jack O’Lantern Days in Fish Creek (Oct. 27-28)

Fish Creek hosts its annual weekend of Halloween fun with Jack O’Lantern Days this weekend.

Start the weekend off Friday at Hands On Art Studio with Adult Art Night. Every Friday night, all year long you can enjoy a grown-up night of fun with a 21 and older crowd, food, drink and do-it-yourself art projects in a relaxed “art farm” atmosphere.

If you like to live on the wild side and are looking for a little thrill, jump on a “Trolley Ghost Tour” or “Haunted Pub Crawl” at Door County Trolley.

On Oct. 28, the Peninsula School of Art hosts a “Family Art Day” with free mask-making for families with children 3-17 years old. Gibraltar Fire & Rescue opens the doors of the Gibraltar Fire Station for kids’ games and station tours.

The costume parade starts at noon, beginning and ending at Clark Park with the costume contest to follow. There will be three first prize donations from local businesses, one for best child costume, one for best adult costume, and one for best pet costume. Afterwards there will be a Kids Halloween Party, with games and activities in the town hall, and town-wide trick-or-treating at participating Fish Creek businesses from 1-3 pm.

Capture a picture of a bird of prey in Founder’s Square. The Open Door Bird Sanctuary hosts an interactive raptor exhibit from 10 am – 4 pm Saturday, featuring bird-related artifacts and a meet-and-greet with some of their residents.

The Great Pumpkin Lighting at Hands On Art Studio is on display at 6 pm followed by an “Adult Halloween Party” at the Bayside Tavern at 9 pm for adults 21 & over.
