Jacksonport Farmers Market Celebrates Five Years

The morning crowd enjoys the variety of produce and crafts at the Jacksonport Farmers Market at Lakeside Park.

The Jacksonport Farmers Market currently celebrates its fifth season of offering locally grown produce and handcrafted items, with nearly 30 vendors participating each week.

Many of the regular vendors participate, including Mike Sullivan of Sully’s Produce; Bonnie Abrahamson with Logan Creek Soap; Wayne Fay of Lani’s Herbs & Oils; Vicki Progar of Food For Thought; Tom Lutsey of Waseda Farm Market; Mary Dannhausen of Mary’s Garden; Tom Luebker of Colonel Tom’s; Bonnie Smith of Simply Irresistible Creations; Mary Malvitz of Malvitz Bay Farms; Linda Duke of Linda’s Treasure Acres; Marci Faustini of Watch Us Grow; Bonnie & Ken Visser of K-Bon Creations; Rick Grant; Bernadette Rainsford and William Clayton of Summerwind Alpaca; Neill & Louise Gilbertson of Six Points Place; Scott Dell of Cheesecake, Etc.; Ann Miller of Door County Kraut Co.; Randall Manges of Big Dog Farm/Lily Bay Bees; Alyssa Long of Long’s Farm & Orchard; Ed Stich; and Mike Shinn & Pat Thorp of Pat’s Patch.

New vendors include Martha Bennett of Parchcraft Designs Etc.; Patsy Stierna & Paula Wendlund of Door County Natural Creations; Amy Jennings of Amy J’s Creations; Eugene Garbowski of Sugar Mountain Farm; Neal Teske; Donald Friex; Tim Newton; Carol DeGitis and Sue Donohoo of Soo Hoo Artwear.

Jacksonport Historical Society also has a booth; Darrel Birnschein and assistants representing the group provide a variety of food and beverages each week in the front pavilion.

The market is held at Lakeside Park on Highway 57 in Jacksonport on Tuesday, 9 am – 1 pm, through October, as weather permits.
