Jacksonport Thanksgiving Day Parade

Jacksonport will celebrate its 25th annual Thanksgiving Day Parade on Thursday, Nov. 25, 10:30 am, in downtown Jacksonport.

“What’s great about it is [that] it really helps out a local charity and someone in the community who’s in need,” Pete Thelen said.

The proceeds will benefit the food pantry at Sister Bay’s Door of Life Church, which is open 24/7/365 for those in need in Door County. Parade organizers will also be sharing the proceeds with Kim Burns, who suffered a stroke in March. Burns is a first responder for Baileys Harbor and Jacksonport and a member of the Baileys Harbor Fire Department.

“This is an extremely generous community, and we’re glad we’ve been able to continue to help people for 25 years,” Thelen said.

To participate in the parade, arrive at the fire station’s parking lot no later than 9:45 am on Thanksgiving Day. Characters are welcome. Contact Paul Kordon at 920.421.0628 to find out more.
