James May Gallery’s New Group Exhibit Opens July 4

James May Gallery’s new group exhibit will run July 4-29, with an opening reception July 5, 5:30-8 pm. It will feature painter Melissa Wilkinson, Kim Eichler-Messmer and contemporary mixed-media sculptor Tiffany Bailey.Wilkinson is an associate professor of art at Arkansas State University-Jonesboro whose work has been shown nationally and internationally. She currently exhibits at Greg Thompson Gallery and M2 Gallery in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Eichler-Messmer teaches full time at the Kansas City Art Institute. Her book Modern Color: An Illustrated Guide to Dyeing Fabric for Modern Quilts was published in 2014.
Bailey is a ceramics faculty member, ceramics department head, and director of the Eric Fischl Gallery, all at Phoenix College. Her sculptures are heavily influenced by the topography of her southwestern Wisconsin childhood home.
