James May Screens Movies About Environmental Protection

James May North, 219 State St. in Algoma, will screen Green Fire: Aldo Leopold and a Land Ethic for Our Time on May 28, 6 pm, as one of the final programs of Algoma’s Art of Water month.

Green Fire explores Aldo Leopold’s career and his enduring influence, tracing how he shaped the modern conservation movement and continues to inspire projects nationwide. Jim Kettler, executive director of the Lakeshore Natural Resource Partnership, will moderate.

James May North will also screen Right to Harm on May 31, 7 pm. It’s an exposé on the public-health impact of factory farming across the U.S., told from the perspective of residents in five rural communities. A Q&A will follow.
