Jerry Apps will be the guest speaker for the Jacksonport Historical Society’s annual dinner meeting on July 23 at Mr. G’s Logan Creek Grille. The meeting begins at 6 pm, and is open to the public.
Apps’ presentation is titled “Return to Horse Drawn Days.” Apps is well known for writing more than 30 books, many on rural living. He is a Professor Emeritus at the University of Wisconsin – Madison, has received numerous awards, and made many appearances on PBS and WPNE.
As part of the annual dinner meeting, there will be a Money Bag Purse Raffle. Cocktails begin at 6 pm with a family-style dinner at 6:30 pm; there’s a choice of Bourbon-glazed Salmon or Beef Burgundy for dinner. The cost is $25 per plate.
