Jewelry Artist Joins Cappaert Contemporary Gallery

Jewelry artist Shelly Thrall is now represented in Door County at Cappaert Contemporary Gallery in Egg Harbor. Thrall mixes sterling silver, copper, brass and found objects in her jewelry designs that look organic and well worn. She often leaves the marks and imperfections made during the hand-building process to enrich the finished pieces. Thrall uses various patinas to create a charcoal effect on the finished objects but the best part is that all of her designs are made from recycled metals that have a low impact on the planet, age beautifully and last for generations.

Thrall found her love for creating jewelry while living in New Zealand where she was inspired by the flora, fauna and rugged west coast beaches of the North Island. She eventually found her way back home to Minnesota where the Midwest natural beauty continues to inspire her work.

Cappaert Contemporary Gallery, located at 7901 Highway 42 in Egg Harbor, is open 10 am-5 pm daily through October.  For more information visit cappaertcontemporary.com.
