Jewelry Trunk Show at Edgewood

Edgewood Orchard Galleries will host a jewelry trunk show for Kentucky jeweler Julie Shaw from July 6 – 8. The show will run from 10 am – 5 pm each day. Refreshments will be served and the public is welcome to attend.

A native of Detroit, Michigan, Shaw started making jewelry at age 12 at the Cranbrook Institute of Science where she learned to cut and polish stones. She would put the stones on chains and sell them to the local ”five and dime” store. Later, she studied painting at the Detroit Society of Arts and Crafts, and attended the Sir John Cass Art College in London studying painting and ceramics.

After returning to the states, Shaw turned her attention again to her first love, jewelry.

Shaw’s jewelry is made from sterling silver, 14k and 22k gold, precious and semiprecious stones, as well as select stones. She cuts the stones using the natural soul of the stone as her guide.

Whether it’s a one-of-a-kind Julie Shaw design or a production piece, all of Shaw’s jewelry comes from the heart and soul of a renowned jewelry artist.

Edgewood Orchard Galleries is located at 4140 Peninsula Players Road, midway between Egg Harbor and Fish Creek. For more information, call 920.868.3579 or visit http://www.edgewoodorchard.com.
