Jewelry Trunk Show and Book Signing at Edgewood

Edgewood Orchard Galleries will host a trunk show for Philadelphia jeweler Susan Meier on Oct. 7 – 8. A selection of Meier’s one-of-a-kind pieces and gallery favorites will be displayed from 10 am to 5 pm. Spiced apple cider and hors d’oeuvres will be served and the public is welcome.

Inspired by natural materials, Susan and her sister, Allyson, use rough-cut gemstones, freshwater pearls, leather, gold vermeil and sterling silver to create their work. The juxtaposition of textures results in a handcrafted, modern and distinctive collection.

“Our jewelry is designed to fit with your unique and personal style. We aspire to create pieces that compliment who you are,” said Meier.

In addition to the jewelry trunk show, a book signing will be held at the gallery Oct. 7 – 8, 10 am – 3 pm. Sue Steckart Jarosh, mother of gallery co-owner J.R. Jarosh, published her first book, Lighthouse Mouse. This is the first in a planned series of children’s books.

Edgewood’s 19th annual “Gifts from the Heart” group show continues until the gallery closes for the 2017 season Oct. 29. This show features artwork especially good for gift-giving including smaller paintings, glass snowmen, ornaments and other holiday themed pieces.

Edgewood Orchard Galleries, open daily 10 am – 5 pm, is located at 4140 Peninsula Players Road between Juddville and Fish Creek. For more information visit edgewoodorchard.com or call 920.868.3579.
