Jewelry Trunk Show Highlighted at Edgewood

Edgewood Orchard Galleries will be hosting a jewelry trunk show for nationally known jeweler Olga Ganoudis during Columbus Day weekend on Saturday, October 10 through Monday, October 12 from 10 am – 5 pm each day. A large collection of Ganoudis’ jewelry that has not been at the gallery before this weekend will be on display for this trunk show only. Refreshments will be served throughout the weekend and the public is welcome.

Ganoudis studied at the Philadelphia College of the Arts, University of Delaware, and the Delaware Art Museum.

When asked about her jewelry design methods, Ganoudis shared that the integration of form, textures and the use of color play an integral part in the design of her jewelry.

“Combining these elements, I try to evoke the feeling of the past with the use of various symbolic shapes and the surface patina whether it takes the form of a bracelet, earring or necklace,” said Ganoudis.

In addition to the jewelry trunk show, Edgewood Orchard’s Exhibit V continues with the group show, “Inspire,” and the gallery’s 11th annual “Gifts from the Heart” show of artwork especially good for holiday gift-giving. Free holiday gift wrapping is available. Exhibit V will run through November 1, when the gallery closes for the 2009 season.
