Jim Rossol’s Photography at UUF

Award-winning fine art photographer Jim Rossol will exhibit his work at the Unitarian Universalist Gallery in March. Rossol won Second Place Judges’ Choice in the Door County Visitor Bureau’s 2010 “Around the County” photo contest and received a “Photography of Note” designation in the 2014 Peninsula Pulse Hal Prize competition. He has frequently been juried into the Guenzel Gallery at The Peninsula School of Art and The Hardy Gallery for public exhibitions. Rossol is also a frequent exhibiter at many other galleries throughout Door County.

Having retired early after a successful sales and marketing career, he feels lucky to have been able over the last twelve years to pursue his lifelong hobby of photography as a full-time resident of Door County.

Rossol’s photographs depict and interpret his visual world in terms that are representational, abstract or somewhere in between. He says, “I intend for my representational work to enable a new awareness and appreciation of familiar things layered with emotional and textural interpretation.”

Rossol’s portfolio can be viewed at jimrossol.pixels.com.

The UU Gallery is located at 10341 Hwy. 42 in north Ephraim. Gallery hours are 1-3 pm Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and by appointment. For more information call 920.854.7559.
