Joe Joe’s Pizza of Door County Features Captain John

Joe Joe’s Pizza and Gelato in Ephraim will feature Captain John in concert on April 1, April 8, and April 29 from 6 – 8 pm.

Captain John Nolte is a retired Great Lakes Master Captain, and singer/songwriter who will present ballads that depict the sailors of the Great Lakes. Playing an acoustic 12-string Taylor guitar, the concerts will feature songs like his original hit “The Men of the Linda E,” along with a mix of nautical, folk, country, oldie and gospel tunes.

The Captain’s baritone voice will evoke memories of Johnny Cash and Stan Rogers but go to high ranges when singing his Roy Orbison or Neil Diamond favorites.

The Captain many times will surprises his audience and bring out his vintage 6-string Martin guitar for some old-fashioned country and bluegrass music.

Music from Captain John’s CD Safe Harbor and other original work is featured on satellite radio and many Door County radio stations.
