Josh McDowell to Speak at TPAC

Josh McDowell

Josh McDowell, a speaker who has talked in 125 countries, will be featured at the Trueblood Performing Arts Center (TPAC) on Sept. 5 at 6 pm and on Sept. 6 at 10:45 am. He will speak on the authenticity of the Bible by examining the evidences found in both the Old and New Testament. His final presentation, “The Perfect Storm,” will be at Bethel Baptist Church on Sept. 6 at 6 pm. The program is for adults only.

Having experienced a difficult childhood, McDowell believed Christianity wasn’t worth his time. Later, when he was required to write a research paper to disprove the truths of the Bible, he found instead overwhelming evidence that what the Bible stated was true. McDowell has authored or co-authored about 115 books including More Than a Carpenter and Evidence That Demands a Verdict.

All presentations on the Island are free and are sponsored by Bethel Church as part of their 150th year celebration. There will be a special late night ferry available Saturday night for those wishing to return to the mainland. For ferry service, times and rates visit wisferry.com.
