JT and the Clouds

This Chicago-based band is a group on the move. With a tour in the UK this summer, the Clouds travel the world as much as their music travels between genres. Their sound is a fusion of blues, doo-wop, rock, blue-grass and funk – well-polished without losing twinges of grittier roots.

Their first CD, Delilah was released in 2004 and met with rave reviews as well as securing the Clouds with a tight fan-base in Chicago. Clint Mathis of “Freight Train Boogie” called the Clouds “simply one of the best bands to ever emerge from the Americana scene.”

They recorded their latest CD, the city’s hot yeah the city’s hot at Studio Chicago with Zach Goheen, who has worked with several popular indie bands. The record has a soulful twist, and is lyrically charged with songwriting by Jeremy (JT) Lindsay. One can hear hints of The Talking Heads, G. Love and The Special Sauce, and Bob Dylan coming through in fun, upbeat melodies, great harmonies and captivating guitar riffs. They’ll be playing in Door county upon their return to the states in late summer.
