Jude Genereaux is Featured Poet at Next Dickinson Poetry Series

Jude Genereaux will be the featured poet at the Dickinson Poetry Series on Oct. 9, 7 pm, at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 10341 Hwy 42 in north Ephraim. The series is held monthly on the second Wednesday and features a renowned local or regional poet, an open mic that allows others to read their poetry and a reception during which attendees can meet the poets. The public is welcome to this free series

During a life-changing writing workshop in 1994, Genereaux met the love of her life and realized her own role as a writer. She retired from her post as Door County’s first county administrator in 2006 after 25 years in county government. The former Ellison Bay resident now lives near Hayward, Wisconsin. Genereaux’s award-winning work has been published by Cross+Roads Press; the Wisconsin Academy of Science, Arts & Letters; Hummingbird; After Hours and more. She has also published three chapbooks of essays and poetry and writes a column for the Rice Lake Chronotype.
