• The next meeting of the Door County Tourism Zone Commission is July 20 at 9 am at the Baileys Harbor Town Hall. The Commission oversees the collection and disbursement of room tax funds collected by Door County municipalities.

• The Village of Sister Bay has distributed a survey to gather interest in a Shared-Use Commercial Kitchen. No site has been selected, but the kitchen would be modeled on the Algoma Farm Market Kitchen, which individuals and businesses use to bring products to market when their business model doesn’t afford the chance or need to create their own kitchen for commercial production. The surveys are due July 31. Call 920.421.0995 for more information.

• U.S. Senator Russ Feingold will appear in Door County July 11 at the Sevastopol Town Hall at 3:15 pm for about an hour. Feingold makes an appearance in each of Wisconsin’s 72 counties at least once a year to gather feedback and take questions from constituents.

• The Door County Public Health Department will host a Cholesterol Screening July 23 by appointment only. Cost is $30. Call Marsha at 920.746.2255 to make an appointment.

• The Village of Sister Bay Board of Trustees will meet July 14 at the Sister Bay Fire Station at 6 pm. The board meets the second Tuesday of every month.

• The City of Sturgeon Bay Plan Commission meets July 15 at 7 pm in the Council Chambers at City Hall.
