July 19 Open House at the Employability Hub

We are HOPE is holding an open house for The EmployAbility HUB on July 19, 3:30-6:30 pm.

Formerly known as the Door County Job Center, the organization has changed its identity and funding.

“We wanted to reintroduce ourselves with our open house and let everyone know the services we provide,” said Mark Schiefelbein, workforce development coordinator.

The location is still in the Cherry Point Mall off Egg Harbor Road, but the space “has been transformed,” said Executive Director Kim Carley. “Stop in and tour our community’s employment resources in the HUB. Everyone is invited. There will be refreshments, good company, good information and door prizes.”

We Are HOPE has been providing employment services to Door and Kewaunee counties since 1978. Along with The EmployAbility HUB, the organization is dedicated to connecting employers and the workforce in achieving mutual employment success.

“Employment is still a big issue,” Schiefelbein said. “People are looking for jobs, and employers are looking to hire workers.”
