The Liberty Grove Historical Society (LGHS) hosts two events during July. On July 14 the Vintage Day sale will be held at the barn from 10 am to 3 pm. The Museum and grounds are also open and kite flying is encouraged on Grand View Park. On July 16, LGHS will host a Liberty Grove Historical Society program that visits the Appel, Grasse, Kellstrom, Kramer and Logerquist families from the 1880s to the 1950s in a video called Recollections of a Storyteller Doll by Kathy Kramer Springer.
LGHS meetings are held in the LGHS barn at 7 pm. There are nine historically restored buildings, Fallow Field Nature Path and the Military Circle of Honor at the Johnson-Hanson Century Farm atop Grand View Hill. There’s a self-guiding tour handout at the farm or available online atlibertygrovehistorical.org. Docents are on hand at the Log Museum from 10 am to 3 pm on July 14, 28, 29, Aug. 11, 25, Sept. 8, 22 and Oct. 13.
