KAFA Instructor to Exhibit in New York City

Steve Ohlrich, an instructor at the Kewaunee Academy of Fine Art (KAFA), has been selected to participate in a three-person exhibition in New York City. The exhibition is scheduled for May 30 – June 24, 2008 by the Amsterdam Whitney Gallery.

The Amsterdam Whitney Gallery’s criteria are to highlight and showcase in a curated, museum-caliber ambiance, with contemporary masters featuring figurative art.

Ohlrich earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a minor in psychology. After serving the psychology community in and around Chicago for three years, he pursued artistic training at The School of Representational Art. He is a Master Draftsman and received a Certificate of Completion after four years of extensive training.

Ohlrich’s work includes realistic figurative works, portraits, still life and creative compositions. His creative compositions are a combination of artistic skill and imagination, which give voice to his unique perspective on life and human endeavor past and present. Currently, Ohlrich works on commission and pursues independent projects.

An instructor at The School of Representational Art in Chicago, The Kewaunee Academy of Fine Art and the Milwaukee Art Museum, he also gives individual private instruction. Ohlrich exhibits at the Barnsite and Linden Galleries on the Door Peninsula and the Linden Centre Gallery in Dali, China.
