Kari Anderson to Speak at Hope Church

Join Kari Anderson on Nov. 19 at 3 pm as curator Mark Jinkins asks Anderson about her art, life and growing into the artist she is today. The talk will be held at Hope Church, 141 S. 12th Ave. in Sturgeon Bay.

When Anderson talks about her art, people react in so many ways. Many works evoke mood or memory: Scandinavian colors, or a sprinkling of fresh snow, sky, stars or moon. She puts lots of thought into her paintings and their titles, exposing her past. Healing, hope, forgiveness, and renewal move in her art.

Anderson is currently the featured artist through the first of January in the Hope Art Alcoves Gallery. The Sturgeon Bay 2016 Holiday Art Crawl, Nov. 19 and 20, is another opportunity to visit Anderson in the Hope Church Art Alcoves Gallery between 10 am and 4 pm on each of those days; however, due to a memorial service Hope requests visitors do not stop between 11:30 am and 1:30 pm.

Whenever Hope Church is open so is the Art Alcoves Gallery, subject to conflicting events in the Fellowship Hall. Hope Church is open from 9 am to 1 pm, Mondays through Fridays (excluding holidays) as well as before, during and after the Sunday 10:30 am worship service.
