Kathleen Beck Comes Full Circle at Cappaert Gallery

Cappaert Contemporary Gallery was the longtime home of Dovetail Gallery, where artist Kathleen Beck sold her own egg art and represented many other artists. In 2015, Ginnie Cappaert purchased the 1872 log home that houses her Cappaert Contemporary Gallery and studio space. The two artists have continued a friendship, and the gallery now represents Beck’s fused-glass art.

“Once again, my life circle is whole through Ginnie’s representation of my art,” Beck said, “bringing me back to the fullness I experienced at Dovetail.”

Beck balances color, light and composition in her glass sculptures, which often begin either as a drawing or just a pile of glass shards. A locally made, stainless-steel sculpture base accompanies her pieces.

Cappaert Contemporary Gallery (cappaertcontemporary.com), 7901 Hwy 42 in Egg Harbor, is open daily, 10 am – 5 pm, through Oct. 31.
