Katie Dahl Plays at Tin Plate, Sept. 12 & Oct. 13

The Tin Plate (the former Hitching Post in Valmy) is pleased to announce two performances this fall by popular Door County musician Katie Dahl: Sept. 12 and Oct. 13, both from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. Dahl, a nationally recognized folk singer-songwriter, will perform with her frequent sideman, upright bass and percussion player Rich Higdon.

Dahl “combines old-fashioned populism, an abiding love of the land and wickedly smart love songs, all delivered in a rich and expressive alto” (Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel). Known for the literate candor of her original songs and the easy humor of her live performances, Dahl also has four studio albums and an original musical play, Victory Farm to her credit. Just last week, Dahl (along with Eric Lewis and Rich Higdon) released Solid Ground: The Songs of Fred Alley at Door Community Auditorium. More information is available at katiedahlmusic.com.

The Tin Plate (formerly the Hitching Post) is nestled in the woods at 4849 Glidden Drive in Valmy. There is no cover charge for Dahl’s performances. For more information, call 920.818.1177.
