Katy Rose Provisions Expands Offerings

In 2004 Don and Gale Whitson-Schmidt opened Katy Rose Provisions in Egg Harbor as a gourmet delicatessen and catering service. In four years they have developed a loyal following amongst people seeking carry outs with a touch of “class.”

This summer they have added wedding catering to their specialty list and decided to take a bold step forward. They now feature traditional and white balsamic vinegars as well as black currant, pomegranate, raspberry, red apple, strawberry, and more than a dozen varieties of extra virgin olive oils (EVOO) in a new Balsamic Vinegar & EVOO Bar.

“We feature several California Extra Virgin Olive Oils and a large collection of aged oils from around the world: Australia, Tunisia, Spain, Sicily and Greece,” says Don. Visitors are provided abundant sampling cups and bread cubes with which to sample oils.
