Kay Smith Named New Director of Algoma Area Chamber of Commerce

Kay Smith is the new executive director of the Algoma Area Chamber of Commerce. She has extensive experience in the financial-services and nonprofit sectors and will manage the day-to-day chamber business.

Jennifer Emert, pastor of the Algoma United Methodist Church; and Ann Renard, a third-generation owner of Renard’s Cheese and Rosewood Dairy, have been elected to the chamber’s board of directors. “The Algoma Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to have these individuals help provide leadership of the chamber and visitor center, along with the remaining members of the board and staff,” said board president Tracy Nelson.
