Keep Track of Your Reading

The Door County Library Summer Reading Program is now underway. From June 1 to August 15, toddlers through 8th graders can keep track of their own reading, their reading to others or when they are read to, and use those hours to collect reading incentives at their local Door County library. Tally slips are available at libraries or can be printed from an online link on the kids’ summer page.

Beginning June 1, teen and adult readers are invited to count their reading as participants of summertime Book Bingo. Readers will be eligible to win books, with some prizes being awarded weekly and others at the end of August. Details are available at each participating library.

A brochure listing library-sponsored family summer activities is available at each library or online at doorcountylibrary.org/summer. Programs for the summer theme “Fizz, Boom, Read!” will include science, nature, magic, discovery and technology presented by local and special experts at the Door County libraries or at local co-sponsoring locations. All programs are free, and everyone is welcome.

Individuals and families can register for the reading program at local libraries or doorcountylibrary.org/summer.
