Kewaunee County Ends Summer Season on High Note

Kewaunee County is ending its summer tourism season on a high note, with area hotels, motels, condos, bed & breakfasts, Airbnb rentals and campgrounds reporting more visitors booking overnight stays for the holidays of Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day. Tourism staff with Visit Kewaunee County found a 14 percent increase in occupancy from 2018 to 2019, and the 2019 Labor Day weekend is the best holiday from the past two years.

“We’d love to see this momentum trickle into fall,” said Jennifer Gonzalez, Kewaunee County tourism coordinator. “We hope that visitors find Kewaunee County as a place to be their home away from home when heading to Lambeau Field.” For the 2019 NFL season, Visit Kewaunee County is welcoming those who attend games at Lambeau Field and plan a stay in Kewaunee County with a clear, drawstring sportpack that meets the NFL’s bag policy plus other goodies, while supplies last. Reach Visit Kewaunee County on Facebook or email [email protected] to share when and where you’ve booked an accommodation reservation in the area, and Visit Kewaunee County will have a welcome bag waiting for you when you check in.
