Kewaunee County Emergency Management, emergency response personnel and community partners will simulate an industrial-type incident on Saturday, Oct. 20, in the Village of Luxemburg. There will be partial closure of 4th Street from 8 am to 1 pm as part of the exercise. “The purpose of this exercise is to practice procedures and identify areas that need improvement if an incident should occur,” said Tracy Nollenberg. “It’s not often that we expect to get a call for something of this nature, but it’s always good to be prepared.” The public will have access to open businesses and those reporting to work will be able to get to and from their place of employment. Specifics on the industrial type incident that will be practiced are being kept confidential.
