City of Algoma: The Common Council meets at 6 pm on May 2.
National Day of Prayer will be celebrated with Pastor Ken Taylor from 9 am to noon on May 5.
On May 6 Algoma third graders will join the city’s Tree Management Committee for a tree planting demonstration and the awarding of Algoma’s Tree City USA renewal certificate, from 10 am to noon on Perry Street.
County of Kewaunee: The Kewaunee County Highway Department will post a weight restriction on County E bridge over the Ahnapee Trail. The weight limit will be 10 tons (20,000 pounds). All other vehicles and equipment shall use alternate routes. The weight restriction shall become effective when the warning signs are installed.
Free blood pressure screenings will be held 10-11:30 am on May 1 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Luxemburg; 1-3 pm on May 4 at the Kewaunee ADRC, Lakeshore Foot Care Clinic; and 9-11 am on May 17 at Kewaunee County Public Health Dept.
Village of Casco: The Casco Rummage Sale will be held from 8 am to 5 pm on May 7. Maps can be picked up at the BMO Bank on Main Street.
Village of Luxemburg: Open Book of the assessment roll for the year 2016 will be Wednesday, May 4, from 3 to 5 pm at the Luxemburg Municipal Office Building, 206 Maple St. Instructional material about the assessment and board of review procedures will be available at that time for information on how to file an objection and the board of review procedures under Wisconsin law. You can also contact MiLissa Stipe, village clerk-treasurer at 920.845.2722 between 7:45 am and 4:15 pm Monday through Friday or in person at the Luxemburg Municipal Office with any questions.
