City of Algoma: The Common Council meets at 6 pm on April 4.

City of Kewaunee: Spring yard waste pick-up will be on Monday, April 4, and Monday, April 18. Place leaves, grass and yard waste in open containers or untied bags at the curb by 7 am.

The city will accept applications for summer employment from currently enrolled students who will be returning to high school or post-high school education next fall. Proof of admittance will be required. Jobs will be available in the Department of Public Works and Marina. Applicants must live within the Kewaunee School District. Students who worked last summer must reapply. Applications will be accepted through April 8, 2016. Applications may be obtained from City Hall, 401 Fifth Street, at the High School Guidance Office, by telephoning 388.5000, or by visiting the city website, cityofkewaunee.org/employment.html.

County of Kewaunee: The Highway and SW Committees meet at the Highway Dept. at 8:45 am on April 6. The Groundwater Task Force meets at 1 pm on April 6. The Extension & Zoning Committee meets at 3 pm on April 6. The Finance Committee meets at 9 am on April 8.

Town of Lincoln: The town board meets at 7 pm on April 4.

Village of Luxemburg: St. John’s Church is offering garden plots to the public for the summer gardening season. Cost is $25 for a 20′ x 20′ plot, or $12.50 for a 20′ x 10′ plot. Cost includes watering and tilling. Contact Charlie Piesler at 920.866.9065 to reserve your plot.
