Kewaunee County Primaries in Lincoln, Franklin Feb. 20

Kewaunee County residents in the Town of Lincoln and the Town of Franklin, who are eligible to vote, have a ballot to cast on Tuesday, Feb. 20. The Kewaunee County Board of Supervisors race has a primary in both District 2 and District 10. Each district has three candidates seeking the seats being vacated by Supervisor Larry Kirchman, District 2, and Supervisor Ron Paider, District 10. The top two candidates of each race will move on to the Tuesday, April 3, general election. District 2 – Town of Lincoln: Cory Cochart, Mark Kusniesz, Joseph Musial. District 10 – Town of Franklin:  Thomas Cretney, Duane Ducat, John Wochos. There were no candidates applying for the District 5 seat, which includes Wards 4 and 5 in the Village of Luxemburg. That seat will go to a write-in candidate, if that person accepts the job, otherwise someone will be appointed to fill the seat. If you are eligible to vote, but do not have a Wisconsin driver’s license or ID card, you may obtain an ID at no cost for the purpose of voting from the Department of Motor Vehicles. The polls will be open from 7 am to 8 pm on Feb. 20. Once the polls close, unofficial results will be posted on the Kewaunee County website, kewauneeco.org, as they become available.
