Kewaunee County Public Health Department Seeking Help to Provide School Supplies

The Kewaunee County Public Health Department is seeking the help of businesses and community members to fill the backpacks of area students with supplies for the upcoming school year through its annual Back to School Program. Donations are being accepted for distribution at Lakehaven Hall, 96 Ellis Street, on Aug. 19. The program aims to provide some of the required school supplies for children of families in need.

“This next school year is going to be extremely critical in helping as many students as we can because of the financial impact that COVID-19 may have had on some families,” said Cindy Kinnard, director of the Kewaunee County Public Health Department.

To register for the program, pick up a registration form at the Public Health Department or Kewaunee Public Library, find it online at, or ask for one to be mailed by calling the Public Health Department. The deadline to turn in registration forms is Aug. 3

Donations of school supplies can be made at area churches with designated Back to School Program boxes, or dropped off at the Kewaunee County Health and Human Services Building. Financial donations are also welcomed. Donations are needed by Aug. 10.
